Listen. Can you hear change happening?

Read Dawn’s story of hope and resilience, and why she’s speaking up.

Can you hear it? It’s the sound of a raindrop before the downpour. It’s the sound of a whistle before the start of the race. It’s the sound of one person’s clap before the standing ovation.

Can you hear it? At Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation, it’s the sound of voices that were once silent, now gathering together and insisting they be heard. Change starts here. With you. With me. And with each one of the 10,000+ patients Rogers will treat this year.

When she was just 11 years old, Dawn suffered a tragic loss – her dad died of suicide. Already an anxious child, the traumatic event disrupted everything in her world. At 30, she couldn’t hide the anxiety and depression that had been suffocating her anymore. She found herself in a very dark place. Then, she decided to do something about it. Dear Friend,
It only takes one person to share their story of recovery, and another to hear it, to begin to shatter the stigma surrounding mental health challenges. Without fear or shame, more people will have the courage to seek help. Change is happening, but we still have a long way to go.

Rogers Foundation works with supporters like you to save the lives of those affected by mental health challenges. Together, we can:

  • reduce stigma by giving a voice to recovery,
  • provide free treatment for families in need,
  • influence the course of mental health through research and outcome studies,
  • ensure accessibility to the latest technology, and
  • build facilities that instill dignity and respect to those brave enough to speak up and seek help.

Can you hear it? It’s a whisper of change before the roar of transformation.

Please, will you help us save more lives this year than ever before by speaking up and showing your support? Together, we can continue to make change happen! Join us by making a year-end, tax-deductible gift to Rogers Foundation.
