The YMCA at Pabst Farms, which is located minutes from the Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, campus helps individuals strengthen their bodies, minds and souls through many different programs and services. This year, they did the heavy lifting – no dumbbells required – to collect an abundance of toys for children in treatment at Rogers.
This is the fifth straight year this community gathering spot has participated in our toy drive. YMCA members always step up, and this year was no exception, as they loaded two banquet-sized tables with everything from board games, art supplies, dolls, warm socks and hats, cozy blankets, card games, puzzles, and many more entertaining gift items.
“One of our focuses here at the Y is Social Responsibility, which gives us the initiative to partner with local agencies to make a difference in our community by giving back and serving others,” explained Bruce Osborne, the YMCA’s director of spiritual development. The toys were split between Rogers and another local organization that helps families, and both were chosen because the toys are distributed in the area and help local families.
Thank you to all of the YMCA members who donated this year!
