Handwritten notes offer encouragement

As a former patient, I wanted to find a way to give back because of the priceless impact Rogers made on me.

One of the things that brings me joy is sending cards to people. I am thrilled to know that there are 500 patients who will be receiving a handwritten card from me this year, and I couldn’t be more excited! I know how important encouragement is, especially while undergoing treatment.

Offering this message of hope is especially meaningful to me because it was at Rogers that I relearned my love of writing.”

Marissa’s note reads:

Dear friend,
May you remember this season and forever more that your life matters! There is only one you in this world; you are a masterpiece! The world is better because you are in it!

Sincerely, Marissa
(former Rogers patient)
